Estimator
Role Overview:
As an Estimator at BuildWise Solutions, you will turn plans and specifications into accurate, competitive bids. Your numbers set the foundation for every project we win, so precision, scope awareness, and strong subcontractor relationships matter.
Responsibilities:
- Review plans, specifications, and scopes of work to prepare quantity takeoffs
- Build complete cost estimates and bid packages
- Obtain and level subcontractor and supplier pricing
- Identify scope gaps, risks, and value-engineering options
- Support the project team with budgets and change-order pricing
- Track bids and maintain pricing data
Qualifications:
- Proven track record preparing accurate estimates for commercial or institutional projects
- Strong ability to read plans and specifications and perform quantity takeoffs
- Working knowledge of construction trades, costs, and local market pricing
- Comfort with estimating software and spreadsheets
- Attention to detail and the ability to meet bid deadlines
